**Indian Billionaire's Son Offers to Move Pablo Escobar's Hippos to His Private Zoo**
Anant Ambani, the son of an Indian billionaire, has revived an offer to relocate 80 hippos from Colombia to his private zoo. The animals are all descendants of pets owned by the late Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. The hippos present an unusual problem for modern zoology. Escobar originally imported the animals, which are herbivores from sub-Saharan Africa, for his personal entertainment. After his death in 1993, the hippos and their offspring were left to roam free in the Colombian countryside.
