Sam Neill cancer-free after clinical trial: ‘I’m very, very excited’

Jurassic Park star Sam Neill has announced he is now cancer-free, following a new treatment he received as part of an Australian clinical trial. The actor revealed his stage-three blood cancer had stopped responding to chemotherapy. He then underwent CAR T-cell therapy, a form of cancer immunotherapy that uses a patient’s own immune cells to fight the disease. Neill made the announcement on Australian broadcaster 7News. He is now advocating for CAR T-cell therapy to be made available for blood cancer patients across Australia.
