Domestic Helper Arrested in Hong Kong for Locking Toddlers in Dog Cage
Hong Kong police have arrested a domestic helper for allegedly confining two young boys inside a dog cage. The suspect, a female helper, is accused of locking the children, aged two and three, inside the cage at a flat in the Grand Horizon estate in Tsing Yi.
Police received a report at 1.34pm on Tuesday from the boys' 26-year-old mother. She claimed the helper placed her sons in the cage on two separate occasions in February. The mother discovered the incidents by reviewing footage from her mobile phone's security camera.
A police source confirmed the arrest. The case is being investigated as suspected child abuse. No further details have been released.
