Bank Robbers Tunnel Through Sewers to Escape Naples Heist
Italian police say three masked robbers used the city's ancient sewer network to escape after a bank heist in Naples on Thursday.
The suspects held 25 people hostage inside the bank during the robbery. After taking an unknown amount of money, they fled through a prepared tunnel.
This tunnel connected the bank's basement directly to the Naples sewer system. Authorities confirmed the gang used this underground route to disappear.
The search for the robbers is ongoing. Police are investigating the sophisticated escape plan.
