Principal Tackles and Disarms School Gunman in Caught-on-Camera Confrontation
Newly released video shows a high school principal in Oklahoma physically disarming a gunman inside the school.
The footage from Pauls Valley High School captures Principal Kirk Moore tackling a former student in the school lobby. The suspect had entered the building and begun firing a pistol on April 7.
During the struggle, Moore was shot in the leg. Despite his injury, he wrestled the suspect onto a bench and took away his gun. Moore then held the man down until police arrived.
The school district released the video in response to a public records request. Court documents confirm the principal's actions ended the attack.
