Fury Wins, Calls Out Joshua After Lukewarm Victory
Tyson Fury defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov by unanimous decision in London on Saturday. The heavyweight boxing champion controlled the fight over all 12 rounds.
After the win, Fury immediately called out his longtime rival, Anthony Joshua, who was watching from ringside. Joshua's response was non-committal.
The event did not sell out the large Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Observers note that Makhmudov is not a well-known opponent. Fury's appeal may also be fading after he recently lost twice to Oleksandr Usyk.
In another match on the same card, Conor Benn faced Regis Prograis. Prograis, 37, was defending his world title.
