Teen Jailed After Threatening Chicken Shop Worker With Gun Over Sauce
A teenager has been sentenced to prison after pulling a gun on a fast-food worker who gave him the wrong dipping sauce.
The incident began as a routine order at a chicken shop in London. After receiving an incorrect condiment, the 19-year-old customer returned to the counter. He then lifted his shirt to reveal a handgun tucked into his waistband.
Security camera footage shows the worker stepping back in alarm and asking, "Are you mad?"
The armed teen, Malachi Mullings, was later arrested. Police discovered he was carrying a loaded, self-loading pistol with its serial number removed. He pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
A judge at the Inner London Crown Court sentenced Mullings to three years in a young offenders' institution. The court emphasized the severe consequences of using a weapon to threaten someone over a trivial mistake.
