**Ex-Hong Kong Leader Launches TCM Platform to Bridge China and World Markets**

Former Hong Kong leader Leung Chun-ying has started a new business. It is a trading platform for traditional Chinese medicine, or TCM. The goal is to connect mainland Chinese TCM manufacturers with buyers around the world. It will use Hong Kong’s trusted testing and certification systems to assure international quality standards. Leung announced the platform on Thursday. He currently serves as a vice-chairman of China’s top political advisory body. He stated the independent, third-party platform has four main aims. These are to make TCM trade more centralized, standardized, market-driven, and international.
