Colbert Mocks Trump's "Double-Sided" Ceasefire Remark
Stephen Colbert questioned former President Donald Trump's recent description of a potential Gaza ceasefire.
On "The Late Show," Colbert reacted to Trump's comment that any deal must be "double-sided."
The host suggested the term was redundant. "Isn't that a prerequisite?" Colbert asked. He then offered a sharp definition.
"I believe there’s a word for a single-sided cease-fire," Colbert said. "And it’s ‘murder.’"
The joke drew audience applause. It highlighted the basic expectation that a ceasefire requires both sides to stop fighting.
