Belgian FM: Lebanon Must Be Part of Any US-Israel-Iran Ceasefire Deal
Belgium's foreign minister has called for Lebanon to be included in any regional ceasefire, after a massive Israeli strike hit near the Belgian embassy in Beirut.
Minister Maxime Prevot revealed the strike landed just a few hundred meters from the embassy compound while he was on site. He did not specify when the incident occurred.
Prevot stated that a potential ceasefire deal between the U.S., Israel, and Iran must also involve Lebanon. He warned that excluding Lebanon would leave a critical conflict point unresolved.
The appeal highlights growing international concern over spillover from the Gaza war into Lebanon, where Hezbollah and Israeli forces exchange near-daily fire.
