**Singapore Tourist District Crash: Woman Charged in Child's Death**
A 38-year-old woman faces serious charges following a fatal crash in Singapore's Chinatown. The accident resulted in the death of a six-year-old Indonesian girl and severe injuries to the girl's mother.
The woman received two formal charges on Wednesday. The charges are for driving without due care and attention, causing death and grievous hurt. "Grievous hurt" means a very serious injury.
A court has issued a gag order, preventing the release of the accused woman's name.
The crash occurred in a busy area popular with tourists. If found guilty of the charge causing death, she could be imprisoned for up to three years.
