Kanye West Ban Forces Festival Cancellation
A major UK music festival has been cancelled after headliner Kanye West was barred from entering the country.
The artist, now known as Ye, was scheduled to perform at the Wireless Festival in London this July. His planned appearance drew immediate criticism due to his history of making antisemitic comments.
UK officials have now blocked him from entering. Event organizers announced the cancellation, stating the decision was made after "an artist was banned from performing." They did not name Ye directly.
All tickets will be refunded. The festival was set to feature other major hip-hop and rap acts. Organizers say they are working to "provide a full update" on future events.
