**Lawmakers Urge 25th Amendment Removal Over Trump War Crime Threats**
A group of U.S. lawmakers is calling for the removal of President Donald Trump. They cite his recent threats against Iran. The push uses the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. This process allows the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to declare a president unfit for office. The move follows Trump's statements on social media. He said the U.S. would target 52 Iranian sites if Iran retaliated for the killing of a top general. Some of these sites are cultural locations. International laws protect such cultural sites. Threatening them could be a war crime. Congresswoman Deb Haaland of New Mexico supports the action. She said, "Threatening mass killings and war crimes is exactly why the amendment was created." The proposal is unlikely to succeed. Vice President Mike Pence and the Cabinet would need to approve it.
