U.S. forces have destroyed military targets on Iran's main oil export terminal, President Donald Trump said Friday. He warned its critical oil infrastructure could be next. Trump stated that U.S. forces "obliterated" the targets on Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf. The island handles most of Iran's crude oil exports. In a social media post, Trump said he chose not to target the oil facilities "for reasons of decency." But he issued a direct threat to Iran. He warned that if Iran, or any other party, interferes with shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, he will "immediately reconsider" striking the oil infrastructure. The strait is a vital global shipping channel for oil exports located near Kharg Island.
