Fake Banks and Police Stations Found in Abandoned Scam City
A massive fake bank branch, complete with service desks, branded leaflets, and a waiting area, was discovered in an abandoned compound on the Thailand-Cambodia border. The convincing replica used the logo and colors of Vietnam's OCB bank.
Thai military forces uncovered the site during recent border clashes. The compound contained multiple fake rooms, including mock police offices.
Authorities say criminal groups used these elaborate sets to run large-scale fraud operations. The scripts and props were designed to trick victims into sending money by impersonating official institutions.
The complex was found fully equipped but abandoned, revealing the industrial methods used by border scam networks.
